This is a game current status update:
November 30th, 2012-Gunshine: Zombies Online is gone now. Today, at 4:14PM Eastern Standard Time, the servers were disconnected from the system, and the game shutdown. According to developers, there are no plans to bring the game back in the future, or create any sequels to it; so the game really is officially dead at this point. Gunshine.net now displays the following message:

After 1,5 years of running the game both on the web and Facebook, we have closed the Zombies Online/Gunshine.net servers on Friday, 30th of November 2012.
We want to shout out our biggest thanks to all of you for helping us create Zombies Online/Gunshine.net, a massive game with a bagful of memorable moments! Thank you again for all the good times!

November 4th, 2012- As you've all no doubt seen by now, there's an Update statement as you start the game:

On behalf of our entire team, we want to thank everyone for playing and contributing to the awesome Zombies Online/Gunshine.net community! After 1,5 years of running the game both on the web and Facebook, we will be closing the Zombies Online/Gunshine.net servers on Friday, 30th of November 2012. Unfortunately, we have not been able to get enough people interested in the game to support the ongoing development and operations of it. Starting today, it won't be possible to purchase any more diamonds in the game, but all other functionality will still work until the final day.
We want to shout out our biggest thanks to all of you for helping us create Zombies Online/Gunshine.net, a massive game with a bagful of memorable moments! Thank you again for all the good times!

July 19th, 2012- Currently the forums are down, and there is no news regarding upcoming updates. However, there HAS been word that an announcement of some sort is going to come from Bouncer (admin) "soon."
With regards to the Forums; There was a problem with one of the web servers, causing the forum database to be severely damaged. Realistically, the data on the forums has been at least partially destroyed. Attempts are being made to correct the situation which caused the failure before reinstalling forums on the game's web server.
The announcement was officially said to be coming "soon," which is a relative term that means, "within a few weeks, not a few months." No information has been given, regarding what that announcement might be, but early player guesses have been that it regards an upcoming update. The only ones that have the answer to that (Admin), aren't talking at the moment, so your guess is as good as mine.
